As the McAuliffe/Challenger Center's content specialist, Bruce has authored a number of articles, including Comets: The Ugly Ducklings of our Solar System, About Mars, The Moon, Gravity: It's the Law, Wilma Flintstone on the Moon, and others. When not adding words like syzygy and regolith to his spell check dictionary, Bruce can often be found attempting to reason with the assemblage of computer, audio-visual, tele-communications, and robotics in his role as technology specialist. Bruce also serves as the Center's webmaster. His interest in science and technology drew Bruce to the McAuliffe/Challenger Center soon after its birth. As an FAA Certificated commercial and instrument pilot, advanced Ground Instructor, and life-long astronomy and physics enthusiast, he especially enjoys digging into the science behind the center's programs, and helping others discover the altogether self-indulgent fun of science. Odd as it sounds, Bruce is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music. He has completed extensive post baccalaureate study in the fields of astronomy and education. Bruce is certified by the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics to instruct in astronomy-related physical sciences under Project Aries.
